Peacock Craft Craft

Materials you will need:
Peacock template
Construction paper
Two googly eyes
Glue
Scissors
Shimmer paint
Sequins

How to make Peacock CraftCraft:

1. Print our peacock template and cut the pieces out. Trace the pieces onto construction paper. We used blue and green for the feathers (3 green, 3 blue).
2. Lay the feather pieces out on some newspaper and let your child paint them with the dot paint. We went with a shimmering variety to make the project sparkle a bit. If you don't have this type of paint on hand, trace your feathers onto white paper and have your child paint the feathers green and blue.
3. When the feathers are dry, glue them to a piece of white construction paper so that the colors alternate. *Note*: to make this easier for our daughter to do by herself, I laid the feathers out on the white paper ahead of time and lightly traced them where they should go. When it was time to glue, she was able to line them up and put them in the correct spot. This is a great skill to work on with the preschool set.
4. Have your child glue on the eyes, beak and feet.
5. Spread some glue in a small circle towards the top of each feather. Have your child place sequins on the glue circle to complete your peacock craft.
