Candy Cane Craft

Materials you will need:
1 piece of cardboard
Red paint
A piece of white wool
Craft glue
Scissors

How to make Candy Cane Craft:

1. Draw the shape of a candy cane onto a piece of cardboard. We used the back of a tissue box.
2. Cut the shape out. This may be tricky for preschoolers so they may need a little assistance getting the curve right.
3. Paint the candy cane red and set aside to dry.
4. Turn the cardboard over and place craft glue on the other side, then gently wrap the wool around the candy cane, pressing down on the underside to get it to stick as you go.
5. Once finished, cut off the excess wool and you're done.
6. If younger children are doing this, it may be easier to skip the glue step and have them wind their wool around the cane without it, then get an adult to help them tie the wool together at the back.
