Birthday Cake Card Surprise Craft

Materials you will need:
Birthday card template
Card stock or other thick paper
Glue
Paint, felt pen and glitter

How to make Birthday Cake Card Surprise Craft:

1. Go to pop up cake for the template and detailed folding instructions for the card.
2. Print out your template on heavy paper or card stock.
3. Cut out the cake and the candles.
4. Fold your candles and cake according to the directions.
5. Paint and/or decorate the candles and cake. Allow to dry. Fold and the candles and cake again as the paint and glitter makes the paper a bit stiff.
6. Decorate the outside of your card if you wish.
7. Simple wave shapes in different colours decorate but do not detract from the inside surprise!
8. Glue your candles and cake to the inside of your card. Allow the glue to dry and then carefully fold in the candles and cake. After a couple of times opening and closing, the paper will loosen and the cake and candles will "pop up" easily.
9. Write in a message for that special person and surprise them with their own pop up card!
