Craft Stick and Yarn Bracelet Craft

Materials you will need:
Craft Sticks
Microwave safe glasses
Yarn
Tacky Glue or Hot Glue
Gloves
Tongs

How to make Craft Stick and Yarn Bracelet Craft:

1. Put craft sticks to soak overnight. Don't skimp on the time factor or your sticks might break instead of bend.
2. Boil the craft sticks for approximately 30 minutes.
3. Select glasses that have the approximate circumference a little larger than the recipients wrist .
4. With the water on a slow simmer, take one stick at a time out of the water with the tongs and gently bend and insert inside the glass to form your bangle bracelet. This is where the gloves come in handy so you don't burn your hands.
5. You may be able to use one glass to hold two craft stick bangles depending on how they are shaped.
6. I would suggest making a few more than you need in case one or more breaks.
7. Microwave for approximately one minute. The bracelet will shrink as the water evaporates from the heat and will slip easily out of the glass.
8. Place a small strip of glue down the middle of the bracelet and wrap the yarn around the newly formed bangle. Start by securing your yarn on the underside with a dab of glue. Continue to add small strips of glue as you wrap until your bangle is completed. Finish with the end of the yarn secured on the underside with a dab of glue.
