Paper Plate Snake Craft

Materials you will need:
1 paper plate
Crayons
Wool or string
Scissors

How to make Paper Plate Snake Craft:

1. Take your paper plate and allow your child to go wild scribbling on colour all over and on both sides.
2. If they're learning the words for colours you can talk about what colour you are using each time.
3. Once your child is happy with their scribbles you can then make your snake.
4. Using your scissors (for adults only), cut in from the edge and cut around in a circle. Before you reach the start of your cut, move inwards so that you create a spiral cut all the way to the centre.
5. Carefully pierce a hole in the centre (your snakes head).
6. Thread a piece of wool or string through the hole and tie a double knot on the other side to stop it slipping back out.
7. Hold the wool and you will see your spiral snake unfold.
