How to make Loopy Yarn Sheep Craft:

1. Paint both sides of the paper plate green. Allow to dry.
2. Fold plate in half and use craft knife to make a 1 inch slit in the center of the fold. (teacher should do this for students)
3. Create a fingerhold on the underside of the plate using a 2-3 inch piece of green construction paper. Center it on the bottom of the folded plate and tape one end to the plate. (the free end is where you hold on to it)
4. Cut out a pair of 1" x 2" green rectangles and round off one end of each by cutting off the corners.
5. Fold each rectangle in half and glue the lower portion to the top of the plate near the fold. The rounded end should stick up from the plate.
6. Cut out white circles and using a black marker draw in round pupils for eyes. Glue the white circles to the rounded end of the green rectangles sticking up from the plate.
7. Cut out legs from green construction paper. A longer, bent pair for the back, and a shorter set for the front. (You may want to provide a pattern of the legs for the students to trace) Tape the tops of the legs to the underside of the plate (body).
8. Cut out a ¾" x 7 " tongue from red construction paper. Round one end and stick it through the slit in the plate.
9. Make the tongue wiggle and move by jiggling the straight end.
