Festive Birthday Straws Craft

How to make Festive Birthday Straws Craft:

1. Cut out a small shape from the colored cardstock. Make sure that it is no more than 1 inches wide since that could cause the straw to become too cumbersome and spill the contents of your cup!
2. Decorate the piece of cardstock with markers or crayons. If you are doing this prior to the birthday party, decorate the straws with the birthday party theme or write "Happy Birthday" on all of them. If this is an activity done during the birthday party, encourage kids to draw something related to the theme. You could even offer them a prize for the most creative straw!
3. Using the hole punch, punch out a hole at the top and bottom of the piece of colored cardstock. Make sure that the holes line up.
4. Insert the straw in the top hole and out the bottom hole.
5. Your straws are ready to use! Don't forget to send kids home with their creations at the end of the party. For a fun bonus, bundle up a few extra straws in a rubber band and send each kid home with a bundle to make at home!
